Driver, or device driver, is a program that makes your computer and printer attached work together. The driver runs on your operating system, and enables it to communicate with your printer.
Printer errors, such as printer not responding, blank page printing, error code messages, etc., are likely to occur when the driver isn’t installed correctly on your PC, or it gets corrupted somehow.

Option 1 – Download and install the driver manually
Canon keeps updating the Canon MF4500 Driver. To get the latest driver, you need to go to the Canon support website, find the driver corresponding with your specific flavor of Windows version (for example, Windows 32 bit) and download the driver manually.
Once you’ve downloaded the correct driver for your system, double-click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
