So if your Palworld crashes easily, one of the first things you need to check is whether your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the game. If your machine is below or just at the requirements, you may need to upgrade your hardware for Palworld to run smoothly.

When you’re sure that your machine meets the system requirements to run the game, but Palworld still crashes, please move on to the other fixes below.
2. Update Palworld to the latest version
As mentioned before, Palworld is a rather new game in its early access, which means that its devs are getting all the bug and problem reports from the gamers. Generally, when some problems are more often seen than others, the devs will make it a priority to create fix patches.
So if you haven’t tried to update Palworld to the latest version when it crashes, it’s time to do it now. If you’re sure that Palworld is fully updated, but it still crashes, please move on to the other fixes below.
3. Run Palworld as administrator
One of the reasons why Palworld crashes easily is lacking certain system permissions and privileges. To see if this is also an issue for you, you can try to run Steam as admin, which grants it full access and privileges to all system resources. To do so:
- Right-click your Steam icon and select Properties.
- Select the Compatibility tab. Tick the box for Run this program as an administrator. Then click Apply > OK to save the changes.
- Then tick the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for: then select Windows 8 from the dropdown list.
Now open Palworld again (it should be opened with administrative permission) to see if it still crashes. If the problem remains, please move on to the next fix.
4. Verify the game files
Corrupted or missing game files will stop your Palworld from running or launching as well. This is especially true for early-access games like Palworld. To see if this is the case, you can verify your Palworld game files on Steam in this way:
- Launch Steam.
- In the LIBRARY, right-click on your game and select Properties from the drop-down menu.
- Select the Installed Files tab and click on the Verified integrity of game files button.
- Steam will verify the game’s files – this process may take several minutes.
Then try to launch Palworld again to see if it still crashes. If the problem still remains, please move on.
5. Disable multiplayer in Palworld
Some forum gamers mentioned that disabling multiplayer in Palworld helps to stop the game from crashing. To see if also helps to stop the crashing in Palworld for you:
- Launch Palworld. Click Start Game.
- Click Palpagos Island then select Change World Settings.
- Turn on and then OFF the Multiplayer mode, then click OK to save the change.
Now try to play Palworld again to see if it crashes again. If the problem still persists, please move on.
6. Update your graphics card driver
An outdated or incorrect display card driver could also be the culprit to your Palworld crashing problem, so if the above methods don’t help to stop Palworld from crashing, it’s likely that you have a corrupted or outdated graphics driver. So you should update your drivers to see if it helps.
There are mainly 2 ways you can update your graphics driver: manually or automatically.
Option 1: Update your graphics driver manually
If you’re a tech-savvy gamer, you can spend some time updating your GPU driver manually.
To do so, first visit the website of your GPU manufacturer:
Then search for your GPU model. Note that you should only download the latest driver installer that’s compatible with your operating system. Once downloaded, open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to update.
Option 2: Update your graphics driver automatically (Recommended)
If you don’t have the time, patience or skills to update the driver manually, you can do it automatically with Driver Easy. Driver Easy will automatically recognize your system and find the correct drivers for it. You don’t need to know exactly what system your computer is running, you don’t need to be troubled by the wrong driver you would be downloading, and you don’t need to worry about making a mistake when installing. Driver Easy handles it all.
You can update your drivers automatically with either the 7 days free trial or the Pro version of Driver Easy. It takes just 2 clicks, and you get full support and a 30-day money-back guarantee with the Pro version:
- Download and install Driver Easy.
- Run Driver Easy and click the Scan Now button. Driver Easy will then scan your computer and detect any problem drivers.
- Click the Activate & Update button next to the flagged device to automatically download and install the correct version of this driver.
Or click Update All to automatically download and install the correct version of all the drivers that are missing or out of date on your system (You’ll need the Pro version for this – when you select Update All, you’ll get a prompt to upgrade. If you’re not prepared to purchase the Pro version yet, Driver Easy provides a 7-day trial at no cost, granting access to all Pro features like fast downloads and easy installation. No charges will occur until after your 7-day trial period ends.) - After updating, restart your computer to take effect.
Launch Palworld again and see if the latest graphics driver helps to stop the crashes. If this fix doesn’t work for you, try the next fix, below.
7. Make sure your computer is not overheating
Game crashing is also likely related to an overheating computer environment, especially if your computer crashes too when you’re playing other games, or using other resource-hungry software programs like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
If you can feel the heat on your computer case or on your computer itself, or you can hear the fan(s) running very loud when you play Palworld, you need a cooler environment for your machine to make sure that your computer doesn’t crash because of the heat.
You can usually use free tools like HWMonitor or AIDA64 to tell whether your computer CPU, the CPU core, and the GPU are running too hot.

8. Turn off anti-aliasing
This is also another recommended fix by the community gamers: according to some, turning off anti-aliasing helps to stop Palworld from crashing constantly. To do so:
- Launch Palworld. Select Options.
- Select Graphics on the left side, then click the arrow for Anti Aliasing until you see None.
Some also said that changing the Anti Aliasing option to FXAA also helps to Palworld from crashing. So if disabling anti-aliasing in Palworld doesn’t help, you can also try FXAA to see how it works for you.
If Palworld still crashes on your computer after you make the anti-aliasing changes, please move on.
9. Launch Palworld with DX12
Even though the system requirement for Palworld is Direct X version 11, some found that launching Palworld with DX12 helps to stop it from crashing. To do so:
- Launch Steam.
- In the LIBRARY, right-click on Palworld and select Properties from the drop-down menu.
- Under the launch options, add -DX12, save and launch Palworld.
- See if Palworld stops crashing now when it’s launched with DX12. If the problem remains, please move on.
